Re-Elect Miriam Hill

For A Stronger Georgia

for Ocean Highway and Port Authority – Dist. 1

Meet Miriam

Miriam has been a full-time resident of Fernandina since 2010. She and her husband, Chris, have two children.

Thank you, Nassau County Voters for electing me in 2020 to serve as Nassau County’s Port Commissioner, District 1! I have worked hard to live up to the public trust of public office.

After being elected Chair in 2023 by my fellow commissioners, I’ve served as OHPA’s representative to the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), passed an ethics policy for the OHPA board, initiated regular financial reporting from the port operator, and taken cost savings actions to save OHPA over $100k in administrative expenses.

If re-elected I will continue to use my experience as a corporate and finance attorney to advocate for practices and policies to put OHPA’s financial house in order and ensure that OHPA and the Port of Fernandina are held to a higher standard.  I will represent the interests of the citizens of Nassau County and the state of Florida with transparency and accountability. I will remember my fiduciary duty and will act with fiscal conservatism.

I look forward to earning your vote again, as your representative in District 1. Thank you for your trust and your vote on August 20!
